Tourism

Brisbane Economic Development Agency (BEDA) is the driving force behind Brisbane’s visitor economy - and the official Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO) for Brisbane and its five neighbouring regions: Redlands, Scenic Rim, Moreton Bay, Logan, and Ipswich.

BEDA drives growth from the ground up - empowering local tourism businesses to innovate and thrive. By delivering a strategic destination management framework, BEDA supports new jobs, drives sustainable economic growth, and gives locals and visitors even more reasons to visit Brisbane.

Destination marketing

BEDA drives visitation and economic returns to the region through domestic and international marketing campaigns, strategic partnerships, and brand activations.

Showcasing Brisbane’s world-class hotels, vibrant dining and lifestyle precincts, diverse visitor experiences, and a year-round calendar of major events, BEDA’s destination marketing positions Brisbane as Queensland’s thriving subtropical capital - and a global city on the rise as it prepares to welcome the world for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Visit Brisbane

BEDA manages Visit Brisbane, the official destination brand and visitor guide to Brisbane’s major cultural attractions, diverse tourism experiences, world-class arts and entertainment facilities, hotels, restaurants, cafes and bars, and stunning natural surrounds.

To list your business or event on Visit Brisbane and other travel websites including Queensland.com, simply create an account with the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW).

For local businesses keen to share exciting news, new product offerings or information on upcoming events, please upload your content via the Visit Brisbane Content Submission form.

City Centre

BEDA drives visitation and spending in Brisbane’s City Centre, supporting local retail, accommodation, and hospitality businesses through tailored events, activations, and initiatives.

Recent marketing programs - including Dine BNE City and Christmas in Brisbane - have helped reenergise the heart of The City and strengthen its reputation as a vibrant destination for visitors and locals.

Brisbane brand and content toolkit

BEDA is the custodian of the Brisbane destination brand - championing Brisbane’s unique identity as both a business and leisure destination.
